Hi, I'm Angie!

 

I am a 50-year-old lady who discovered yoga and it changed - no saved, my life.  I am a lifelong sufferer of depression and anxiety. I found that getting on my yoga mat made me feel grounded and safe. My newfound love for yoga put me on the path to healing in a way medication had never been able to.  Through my blog, Curves & Carrots, I want to bring mental health issues out of the dark corners where it has been put by others. I want to highlight it as a very real illness, but one that can be helped through a variety of mediums, medications, therapies, and yes - yoga!

I am originally from the United Kingdom, but I have been living in the United States for over 20 years (my husband got a new job and we all packed up and moved). My international, expat state of mind has helped me build a greater, more compassionate world view.  I have two gorgeous grown boys and a crazy dog named Toby. 

I am a not only a certified yoga teacher, but I have over 25 years of experience working as a pediatric nurse.
